How to force trades to be matched on testnet

  • Updated

Due to our test environment being a synthetic environment, the liquidity present on the production environment will not be mirrored on our test environment. However, it’s still possible to get any type of position filled using a combination of subaccounts and free synthetic cryptocurrency.

The best approach to ensure a position on one account/subaccount is filled is to create a subaccount, deposit or transfer funds from the main account and then find and match against the limit order created by the target account/subaccount by navigating to the same instrument, locating the limit order and matching the opposite trade.

In this sense, you effectively become your own counterparty however as the test-net does not use real cryptocurrency/money, there is no financial risk involved.

Note

If you run into self matching issues, please make sure self matching settings are set correctly in the account settings.
