Originally founded in The Netherlands, Deribit now has offices in several countries, with its headquarters located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Deribit started as a fully dedicated BTC trading platform, however, since then, the range of products on offer has expanded considerably.
The original ambition was to create the first cryptocurrency options exchange in the world. Even though it was a highly challenging task, in a little over two years, the team finished working on system development, and in June of 2016, Deribit was officially launched.
