Partner Fee Scenarios

  • Updated

A Broker can execute trades in two main ways: directly through the Broker UI between connected clients, or by initiating a Request for Quote (RFQ) and allocating the resulting trade to connected clients. Also a broker can execute RFQ trades to their own account.  The generation of partner rebates depends on whether a partner application is linked to the broker account and the method used to initiate the trade.

Scenario 1: Broker Account has a Partner App "X" Linked

  • Trades initiated via Broker UI: Trades started from the Broker UI generate rebates for the linked partner App "X".

  • Allocation of RFQ trade via Deribit UI to connected clients: Traded RFQs initiated by the broker with allocations to linked clients will generate rebates for the linked partner App "X".

  • RFQ trade via Deribit UI, no allocation to connected clients: No partner rebates are paid for trades resulting from an RFQ initiated through the standard Deribit UI.

  • Allocation of RFQ trade via Deribit API to connected clients: If the RFQ request is signed using a different partner key (for example App “Y”) then partner rebates paid to partner App "Y". Otherwise rebates paid to partner App "X” by default (no need to sign a request specifically). These rebates are paid for one side of the trade only.

  • RFQ trade via Deribit API and allocated to own accounts: If the RFQ request is signed using a different partner key (for example App “Y”) then partner rebates paid to partner App "Y". If the RFQ request is not signed, then no rebates are paid. These rebates are paid for one side of the trade only.

Scenario 2: Broker Account has No Partner App Linked

  • Brokered or Allocated Trades: No rebates are paid for trades brokered or allocated to linked clients.

  • RFQ Rebate Logic: The rebate logic for RFQs remains the same as in Scenario 1 (i.e., rebates are paid only if signed with a partner key via API, and not paid for trades via Deribit UI).

For a fee charged by Deribit to the end client following rules are applied:

  • In case trade is done via Broker UI, the fee tier of the end client is applied.

  • In case trade resulted from RFQ allocation by the broker to a connected client, the fee tier of the broker applied.
